     Joseph was born at The White House, Washington, District of Columbia, on 5 December 1847.¹ Joseph died on 1 August 1857 at age 9.¹

     Samuel was born at The White House, Washington, District of Columbia, on 4 June 1845.^1,2 He married Laura Thornton circa 1882.³ Samuel Polk Walker died on 5 July 1932 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lewiston, Nez Perce County, Idaho, at age 87.² Walker was born in the White House on June 4, 1845. His father was President James K. Polk’s private secretary and nephew. Educated in Washington, D.C. and at the University of Nashville, Walker served in the Fortieth Tennessee (Confederate) during the Civil War. After the conflict, he briefly attended the Harvard Law School and then took a position as the southern representative of the Wells Fargo Express Company, later becoming their agent throughout the western states.
   In January 1876 he was elected as an officer of the San Francisco Stock and Exchange Board and helped manage the successful 1884 U.S. Senate campaign for Leland Stanford. He was involved with the insurance industry for decades, especially with New York Life. When he joined the Continental Casualty Company in 1913, he was the oldest man in terms of service underwriting in the West. Walker first came to the area about 1897, living in Asotin, Washington, and Nezperce, Idaho, for brief periods between assignments with Pacific Mutual Life before moving to Lewiston in 1907. Walker became active in politics and the life insurance business and died at the St. Joseph's Hospital on July 5, 1932.² He was buried on 8 July 1932 at Normal Hill Cemetery, Lewiston, Nez Perce County, Idaho.⁴

     Nellie was born at Washington, District of Columbia, on 4 May 1852.¹ Nellie died on 25 December 1881 at Fort Smith, Arkansas, at age 29.¹

     Barnett was born at Memphis, Tennessee, on 14 February 1854.¹

     Cettie died in 1856.¹ Cettie was born on 3 August 1856.¹

     Gideon was born on 4 May 1857.¹ Gideon died in 1859.¹

     John was born at Portsmouth, Norfolk County, Virginia, on 12 December 1894. He married Mary Alma Hedgegbeth at Virginia on 22 October 1919. John died on 30 December 1979 at Hampton General Hospital, Hampton, Virginia, at age 85.

     Mary was born at Holy Neck, Holland, Nasemond County, North Carolina, on 13 December 1891. She married John Muse Spindle Jr. at Virginia on 22 October 1919. Mary died in 1980.

     He married Kathryn Louise Tabb.² Edgar was born at Collin County, Texas, on 18 October 1922.¹ He resided at McKinney, Texas, in January 1999. He died on 24 February 2002 at McKinney, Collin County, Texas, at age 79.¹ He was buried after 24 February 2002 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Collin County, Texas.¹

     Helen was born at Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, on 11 May 1938. She died on 4 June 2005 at Jewish Hospital, Louisville, Jefferson County, Knetucky, at age 67. She was buried on 7 June 2005 at Sonora Cemetery, Sonora, Hardin County, Kentucky.

     Leona was born at Upton, Hardin County, Kentucky, on 24 April 1859. She married James Clark Brashear at Elizabethtown, Hardin County, Kentucky, on 4 January 1881.¹ Leona died on 10 October 1885 at Upton, Hardin County, Kentucky, at age 26. She was buried after 10 October 1885 at Tabb Family Cemetery, Hardin County, Kentucky.

     Roy died in 1932. Roy was born in 1932.

     Robert was born at Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, on 31 October 1952.¹ Robert died on 23 October 1986 at Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, at age 33. He was buried after 23 October 1986 at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.¹

     Henry was born at Webster County, Mississippi, on 4 October 1894.^2,3 He married Mary Ruth Rush at Laurens County, South Carolina, on 27 November 1919.² Henry died on 13 August 1977 at Bellefountaine, Webster County, Mississippi, at age 82.³ He was buried after 13 August 1977 at North Union Cemetery, Bellefontaine, Webster County, Mississippi.⁴

     Mary was born at Walthall, Mississippi, on 30 May 1896.^2,3 She was buried in October 1918 at North Union Cemetery, Bellefontaine, Webster County, Mississippi.
