     Harriet was born at "The Forest", Amelia County, Virginia, on 22 April 1836.1,2 She was buried in 1909; From the research of Gibson Jefferson McConnaughey gathered from newspaper obituaries and family letters, Miss Harriet Peyton Tabb, daughter of Marianna Archer and Thomas Y. Tabb, is known to be buried in this cemetery which is located on the property of Clay Hill Plantation, now Haw Branch Plantation. This cemetery is located on private property. There are only 2 graves marked with carved stones. This grave is not marked.2 Harriet died in 1909 at "The Forest", Amelia County, Virginia.1,2

     John Tabb Ijams was educated in private schools in Virginia. After leaving school he became a clerk in a wholesale dry goods house in Baltimore. Subsequently in 1873, he removed to New York and endterd the employ of one of the leading dry goods commission forms of that city. In 1876 he withdrew and established a woolen mills agency which he controlled until 1900, when he liquidated and becamed associated with the banking house of Fisk and Robinson on Nassau Street. This relation was severed in 1908, since which time he has been connected with the banking house of William A. Read & Company. John was born at Berkeley County, Virginia, on 27 August 1852.1 He married Phoebe Adele Smith at New York City, New York, on 20 April 1881.1 John died on 23 July 1923 at New York City, New York, at age 70.1
