     Served as a Captain in the Confederate States Army. He also served as an Episcopal minter for Manchester Parish in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Paul was born at Bedford County, Virginia, on 11 October 1807.1 He married Mary Louise "Sally" Watkins at Chesterfield County, Virginia, on 1 December 1837.2 Paul died on 18 September 1880 at Amhurst County, Virginia, at age 72.1
