     Martha Crail was born in 1831 at Hart County, Kentucky. She married Jackson T. Tabb, son of Thomas Tabb and (---?---) (---?---), in May 1850 at LaRue County, Kentucky. Martha Crail died in 1890 at Kentucky.

     Mary Brown died at Missouri. She was born in 1831 at Kentucky. She married Jackson T. Tabb, son of Thomas Tabb and (---?---) (---?---), on 29 December 1866 at LaRue County, Kentucky.

     William P. Tabb was born on 11 May 1852 at LaRue County, Kentucky.¹ He married Martha Ann Houston in 1869. William P. Tabb died on 23 May 1931 at Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri, at age 79.¹ He was buried after 23 May 1931 at Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri.¹

     Martha Ann Houston married William C. Thompson. Martha Ann Houston was born on 7 August 1843 at LaRue County, Kentucky.¹ She married William P. Tabb, son of Jackson T. Tabb and Martha Crail, in 1869. Martha Ann Houston died on 22 September 1922 at Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri, at age 79.¹ She was buried after 22 September 1922 at Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri.¹

     Richard Tabb was born in 1854 at Nelson County, Kentucky. He married Mary Irene Nelson on 25 July 1876 at LaRue County, Kentucky. Richard and Mary farmed in Jefferson, Taylor, and LaRue counties of Kentucky for several years. Sometime during 1897, Richard decided to move his family from Taylor County, Kentucky, where he was residing on the Thomas Nelson (father-in-law) farm to Missouri where his father, Jackson, and his older brother William were living. According to my grandmother Lydia Tabb, they came on the train and settled in Aullvile, Missouri, a small settlement south of Higginsville, Missouri.

Richard and his family moved into a tenant house on the Hanley farm south of Aullvile, Missouri, and worked for Mr. Hanley. The children were enrolled in the local school and the family settled into their new environment. Later, Richard took a job in Higginsville, Missouri, working for Brandoff Coal Mine, which belonged to the Bonanza Coal Company. He was killed a short time later in a mining accident, when he was crushed by falling slate on Sunday, November 17, 1898, less than 18 months after his move from Kentucky. Richard was 45 years of age at the time of his death.

Mary Nelson Tabb did not return to Kentucky, but stayed in Higginsville, Missouri, and worked to provide for her seven children. Life was extremely hard for the family, Mary took in laundry and did sewing along with other jobs she could find. The children all helped as much as possible and when old enough, worked out to help support the family.

Eventually, Mary remarried to an older man named Nathan White. Most of her children had married or left home by this time.

     John Richard Dawson was born on 24 July 1876 at Macoupin County, Illinois. He married Lydia Kathleen Tabb, daughter of Richard Tabb and Mary Irene Nelson, on 26 October 1899 at Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri. John Richard Dawson died in August 1937 at Gramby, Newton County, Missouri, at age 61.
