[Class of]'07--A memorial service for Theodore Turner Tabb, B. A., a young missionary to Japan, who met a tragic death nearly a year ago, was held on May 25, 1910, at the home of his sister, Mrs. R. B. Beattie, Nashville, Tenn., and concluded at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, where his ashes were deposited. The services were conducted by a bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, Dr. R. W. Weaver, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, Dr. W. M. Anderson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, and Dean F. W. Moore, of Vanderbilt University. Mr. Tabb was drowned on June 17, 1909, at Kikugahama Beach, Korea. Mr Tabb made many friends during his student life here, and the service in his memory was largely attended. His ashes were buried in a copper urn, inclosed in a rectangular casket of fine marble, which in its turn was borne upon an upholstered platform with silver handles.
