     He married Harriet Lightfoot Wilkins. John was born in 1869. His body was interred in 1935 at Norfolk, Virginia, at Elmwood Cemetery.¹ John died in 1935.

     Margaret was born at Crystal City, Zavala County, Texas, on 3 September 1915.^1,2 Margaret graduated at Waco, McLennan County, Texas, in 1937.¹ She married Thaddeus Edgar (Billy) Tabb at Ozona, Crockett County, Texas, on 25 July 1943.¹ Margaret died on 6 October 2007 at Tyler, Smith County, Texas, at age 92.^1,2 She was buried after 6 October 2007 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ozona, Crockett County, Texas.

     George was born at Portsmouth, Norfolk County, Virginia, on 25 March 1849.¹ George died on 29 October 1850 at Portsmouth, Norfolk County, Virginia, at age 1.¹ His body was interred after 29 October 1850 at Portsmouth, Norfolk County, Virginia, at Oak Grove Cemetery.¹

     Moss was born at Portsmouth, Norfolk County, Virginia, on 27 March 1851.¹ He married Clarina (Rena) Lacrosse Barnes on 24 May 1877.² Moss died on 28 October 1921 at Norfolk, Virginia, at age 70. He was buried after 28 October 1921 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk, Norfolk County, Virginia.

     He married Sinora Bland. David was born on 28 April 1850. David died on 3 February 1924 at age 73. His body was interred after 3 February 1924 at Sonora, Hardin County, Kentucky, at Sonora Cemetery.

     Lillie was born at Early County, Georgia, on 2 February 1880.¹ She married Richard Troup Tabb at Early County, Georgia, on 19 July 1902.² Lillie died on 29 July 1960 at age 80.¹ Her body was interred after 29 July 1960 at Early County, Georgia, at Gordon Cemetery.¹

     She married Buford B. Grimes. Ellen was born at Georgia on 28 October 1867.¹ She married William P. Jeter at Early County, Georgia, on 20 October 1885.¹ Ellen died on 11 October 1953 at age 85. Her body was interred after 11 October 1953 at Miller/Early Counties, Georgia, at Tabb Family Cemetery.²

     Don was born at Titus County, Texas, on 28 October 1897. Don died on 1 June 1900 at Titus County, Texas, at age 2. His body was interred in June 1900 at Titus County, Texas, at Union Hill Cemetery.

Family History of Titus Co., TX. recalls OSCAR TABB remembering stories of ALEXANDER TABB about" JOHN H. TABB's brother THOMAS who came to Rowan County, NC with LANGHORNE and wife in 1801 from Powhatan Co., Va. THOMAS and JOHN H. married NC women. THOMAS moved down into Georgia ca 1820 and lived at Fishtrap Ga. in 1853, and had two daughters. in Alabama later. His son WILLIAM shot a man and ran away. Years later this son, WILLIAM, reunited THOMAS with JOHN H. who by now lived in Yalobusha County, MS. The two men had not seen each other in 35 years." (We do not know the details on how the two were reunited. Could have been by mail. Maybe WILLIAM showed up in Mississippi and settled there.)

THE HISTORY OF CHICKASAW CO. MS on page 561 lists children of LANGHORNE TABB and includes THOMAS HUGO TABB of Georgia. (This is only reference we have to his middle name as HUGO.)

THOMAS TABB of Monroe Co., Ga. Millers Dist. was a fortunate drawer of 200 + ac. land No. 86, Dist. 6, Sec. 1.

"The law providing for this lottery names white males above 18, who had been residents of the state for three years, Revolutionary soldiers, widows of Revol. soldiers, orphans, and others, who had not drawn land in previous lotteries, as eligible for participation. 15,000 names are listed, including 1,500 Revolutionary Soldiers and 1,500 soldiers of other wars. Soldiers are marked as RS or otherwise."
These counties were created: MUSCOGEE, TROUP, COWETA, LEE, and CARROLL from these lands taken from the CHEROKEE lands. The governor of Georgia at this time was G.M. TROUP.

THOMAS TABB 200 + ac. of land appears to be in Lee County, Georgia.

In 1836 SAMUEL LANGHORNE TABB son of THOMAS married. THOMAS TABB's wife appears to have died in this period. Where and when we do not know. The children begin to marry and settle in the Southwest corner of Georgia, in EARLY, MILLER, BAKER counties and THOMAS settled with them. In 1850 Census of Georgia THOMAS lived with his daughter Julia Ann Tabb wife of Sherwood Sutton. We think THOMAS died about 1855 either in Georgia or Alabama .
HISTORY OF THOMAS TABB by Laverne Tabb Guidroz states that "THOMAS TABB came to Georgia from North Carolina between 1816 and 1826 with his wife and three or four children. In 1840 he was living in Randolph County, Georgia. SAMUEL (Lang) and JOHN E, his sons, were married and also living in Randolph County in 1840. (ELIZABETH married in 1838 to ANDREW BARTON in Randolph County, Georgia.) Some of THOMAS TABB'S children were born in North Carolina and others were born in Georgia. His wife died between 1840 and 1850." "In 1850 THOMAS TABB, Sr. was living with JULIA ANN TABB and her husband, SHERWOOD SUTTON in Baker County, Georgia. TROUPE TABB (named after Gov. Troup) was living with MARY ANN TABB and her husband WILLIAM KEEL in Baker County, Georgia. SAMUEL L. (Lang) TABB was living in Miller County, Georgia. in 1860".

After the death of SAMUEL LANGHORN TABB in 1884, his widow ELLEN moved by wagon train to east Texas. She took the family bible which Laverne Tabb Guidroz writes about. All efforts to contact Mrs. Guidroz in New Orleans suburb have failed. The last person to write her 10 years ago said she was in very poor physical condition. I wrote to address in 1986 and letter was not returned but no reply. Where the Bible is today is a mystery. Maybe it will show up. We hope it has been preserved by that family. Mrs. Guidroz's research is very important to research of THOMAS TABB and I Jeanette Probst Tabb have a copy of it in my records.

Several of THOMAS TABB's sons served in the Confederacy. SAMUEL LANGHORN TABB's grave has been found in Tabb Family Cemetery in Miller County, Georgia in town of Damascus.

NOTE: All of the above information was provided by Jeanette Probst Tabb. He was listed as a resident in the census report at Rowan County, North Carolina, circa 1810. He married (---?---) (---?---) at Spartanburg County, South Carolina, circa 1810.³ Thomas Hugo Tabb was buried in 1856 at Tabb Family Cemetery, Miller County, Georgia.² Thomas died in 1856 at Fish Trap, Baker County, Georgia.^3,4

     (---?---) was born circa 1792. She married Thomas Hugo Tabb at Spartanburg County, South Carolina, circa 1810.¹ (---?---) immigrated, in 1820. Destination:. (---?---) died after 1830 at Georgia.

     RESEARCH OF LAVERN. TABB GUIDROZ: I, Jeanette Probst Tabb, 5220 Valerie St., Bellaire, Tx. 77401 have a copy of this research. Her last address was 403 West 6th St., Westwego, La. (surburb of New Orleans). I will quote from her research.

"The 1840 Census of Randolph Co., Ga. lists Samuel L. Tabb living with his wife and two daughters. Sometimes between 1840 and 1850 he moved to Baker Co., Ga. The 3 Jan 1850 Census of Baker Co., Ga. listed him as a farmer living in 7th Dist with his wife and six children. The Miller Co., Ga. 1860 listed him as a farmer with his wife and three children at home. The 1880 Census of Miller, Ga. shows that he and his wife have two child. at home.
SAMUEL L. TABB gave the land for the TABB CEMETERY in Miller Co., Ga. and I was told that his grave is the oldest one in the cemetery.
He helped to construct the Macedonia Church in Miller Co., Ga. and with oxen carried the beams that are now in the present Macedonia Church.
He died 3 June 1884 and after his death BELINDA ELLEN went to Colmesneil, Texas to visit another daughter already living there. They went by wagon to Texas and BELINDA ELLEN carried the family Bible and pictures with her. These are now in the possession of her Grand-dau., MRS. PATTI SINGLETARY of Jasper, TX. BELINDA ELLEN never came back to Ga. She died 24 May 1896 and is buried in the family plot in Colmesneil, TX."

I, Jeanette Probst Tabb, wrote to Miller Co., Ga. and got a list of the graves in Miller Co., Ga. and in particular the TABB CEMETERY. The father of SAMUEL L. TABB did not have a marker there. We think the father THOMAS was living with a married daughter at the time of his death and we have not located where. It could be in Georgia or Alabama. Samuel was born at Rowan County, North Carolina, on 12 January 1812.¹ He married Belinda Eleanor (Ellen) Jackson at Crawford County, Georgia, on 26 January 1836.² Samuel died on 8 June 1884 at Miller County, Georgia, at age 72.¹ His body was interred on 9 June 1884 at Miller/Early Counties, Georgia, at Tabb Family Cemetery.³

     Belinda was born at Georgia (?) on 30 November 1821.¹ She married Samuel Langhorne (Lang) Tabb at Crawford County, Georgia, on 26 January 1836.² Belinda died on 24 May 1896 at Colmesneil, Tyler County, Texas, at age 74.¹ Her body was interred on 25 May 1896 at Colmesneil, Tyler County, Texas, at Colmesneil Cemetery.

     His body was interred at Clay County, Georgia (?). Thomas M. Tabb was a farmer. He served in CSA altho not young man at time. He served CSA until 1865. In 1874, Thomas and his family left Baker co Ga and moved to Hinds Co Ms near Forest Hill where he lived next door to his dau.Martha D. and her second husband Haskell Hill (b. 1844 Ga. son of Samuel Hill).

     Mary's occupation: Homemaker. Mary was born at North Carolina circa 1816.¹ She married Lovick P. Tabor at Crawford County, Georgia, on 27 November 1833.² She married William Keel at Georgia circa 1836. Mary died after 1850 at Randolph County, Georgia.³ She was listed as a resident in the census report at Baker County, Georgia, circa 1850.

     William died. William was born at South Carolina in 1806.¹ He married Mary Ann Tabb at Georgia circa 1836.

     John retired.¹ John's occupation: Farmer.. His body was interred at Clay County, Georgia (?). John died. John was born at Rowan County, North Carolina, circa 1812.² He married Emily Fincher at Crawford County, Georgia, on 21 December 1837.³ He was listed as a resident in the census report at Randolph County, Georgia, circa 1840.

     Elizabeth's occupation: Homemaker.. Elizabeth was born at Jasper County, Georgia, in 1817.¹ She married Andrew Barton at Randolph County, Georgia, on 31 December 1838.^1,2 Elizabeth died in 1895.

     Andrew died. Andrew was born. He married Elizabeth Tabb at Randolph County, Georgia, on 31 December 1838.^1,2

     William's occupation: Farmer. William was born at Jasper County, Georgia, circa 1822.^1,2 He married Delphine Constance Hortense Borel at Franklin, St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, on 11 July 1867.^3,4 William died on 2 July 1906 at St. Mary Parish, Louisiana.² He was buried after 2 July 1906 at Saint Helens Cemetery, St. Mary Parish, Louisiana.²

     Julia's occupation: Homemaker.. Julia was born at Georgia on 10 September 1823.^1,2 She married Sherwood Hamilton Sutton at Georgia circa 1845.^1,3 She was listed as a resident in the census report at Baker County, Georgia, circa 1850.⁴ Julia died on 4 July 1877 at Hardin County, Texas, at age 53.^1,2 Her body was interred after 4 July 1877 at Honey Island, Hardin County, Texas, at Sutton Cemetery.^1,5

     Sherwood was born at Georgia on 22 August 1823.¹ He married Julia Ann Tabb at Georgia circa 1845.^1,2 Sherwood died on 21 October 1876 at Hardin County, Texas, at age 53.¹ His body was interred after 21 October 1876 at Honey Island, Hardin County, Texas, at Sutton Cemetery.¹

     Troupe Tabb worked as a foreman on a plantation in Randolph County, Georgia. He was kicked and killed by a mule there. Troupe was born at Monroe County, Georgia, in 1829.¹ He married Eliza McDonald at Georgia circa 1850.^2,3 His body was interred in 1863 at Miller County, Georgia, at Crossroads Cemetery.⁴ Troupe died in 1863 at Randolph County, Georgia.¹

     Eliza was born at Georgia in 1830.^1,2 She married Troupe Tabb at Georgia circa 1850.^3,2 Eliza McDonald was buried in 1880 at Crossroad Cemetery, Damascus, Early County, Georgia.² Eliza died in 1880.^4,2

     Mary was born at Miller County, Georgia, on 11 September 1838.^1,2 She married John W. Loving at Georgia circa 1860.³ Mary died on 5 March 1911 at Miller County, Georgia, at age 72.^1,2 She was buried after 5 March 1911 at Colquitt City Cemetery, Colquitt, Miller County, Georgia.²

     Nancy was born at Randolph County, Georgia, on 9 October 1840.¹ She married A. H. Owens circa 1859.² She married Silas Monroe Phillips at Early County, Georgia, on 12 October 1865.² Nancy died on 4 September 1899 at age 58.¹ Her body was interred in September 1899 at Miller/Early Counties, Georgia, at Tabb Family Cemetery.³

     James was born at Georgia on 4 February 1843.¹ Enlisted as Private, 32nd Georgia Vol. Inf., May 15 1862. Surrendered, Greenboro, NC, April 26, 1865.² He married Mary Ann (Mollie) Thigpen at Early County, Georgia, on 12 November 1865.³ James died on 24 April 1925 at Miller County, Georgia, at age 82.^1,2 His body was interred on 25 April 1925 at Miller/Early Counties, Georgia, at Tabb Family Cemetery.⁴

     Francis was born on 9 December 1845.^1,2 She married Nathan H. Metts at Georgia on 23 August 1866.³ Her body was interred in 1926 at Early County, Georgia, at Metts Cemetery.^4,2 Francis died on 29 September 1926 at age 80.^1,2

     Richard was born at Miller County, Georgia, on 28 July 1847.¹ He married Lucy Pickron at Georgia on 1 March 1866.² He married Lillie Mae Gordon at Early County, Georgia, on 19 July 1902.² Richard died on 18 January 1920 at Miller County, Georgia, at age 72.¹ His body was interred after 18 January 1920 at Miller/Early Counties, Georgia, at Tabb Family Cemetery.³
